Statement from Staplehurst Parish Council

Marden Planning Opposition Group (MPOG) have received the following statement of support from the neighbouring parish council at Staplehurst, which we are reproducing here:

“Staplehurst Parish Council considers that development of the proposed site at Marden for circa 2000 dwellings would place severe pressure on an already overstretched transport infrastructure and would lead to further severe congestion on the A229 and subsidiary roads. Staplehurst Parish Council supports Marden in its opposition to this development.”
